Lucidchart for Google Apps makes it easy to invite an entire domain to use Lucidchart. Once installed, Lucidchart appears in the 'More' menu of your school or company Gmail; when clicked, it will automatically provision accounts for new users and place them on the team. Watch the video below for more details.
Install Lucidchart for Google Apps
To install Lucidchart for Google Apps, you must be the admin for your domain. If you already use Lucidchart and would like that account to be linked to Google Apps, ensure that your Lucidchart account is set up under the same email address as your domain email address (you can easily change this under the ‘User Settings’ page of your account in Lucidchart). To install Lucidchart for Google Apps, follow these steps:
Lucidchart will ask for permission to access some of your domain data. Check the box to accept the terms and conditions and press ‘Accept’.
Once Lucidchart is installed, you will see a pop up window briefly explaining how to access Lucidchart.
When you first go to Lucidchart from Google Apps, you will be prompted to set up your team. You can view users from your domain that already use Lucidchart and invite both existing Lucidchart users and new users from your domain to join your team.
Your team will default to a Team 10 trial with the domain admin as the team admin. You can change your subscription level and add payment options on the ‘Subscription Level’ page of your account.
New users will be automatically added to the team, but by default will not automatically receive licenses (for the added shape libraries, beyond the 60 shape limit, etc). To change this default, toggle on the option under ‘Manage Google Apps’ under the team page.
The Lucidchart integration for Google Apps was updated in March 2013 to include a new permission that provisions users from your domain. You can now view an entire list of users from your domain and quickly invite them to your Lucidchart Team. Here are the few steps needed to update your permissions (need to be a Google Apps admin for your domain to update).
Login to your Google Apps C-Panel (found by clicking settings wheel icon in Gmail and 'Manage this domain')
From the C-panel dashboard find the section 'Your Marketplace apps' and click 'Settings' to the right of Lucidchart
Under the second heading titled 'Data Access', there should be a large red X with the message 'Approval Needed'. Click 'Grant data access' when you are ready to update.
Now visit the 'Manage Google Apps' area on your Team page and view a list of users from your domain to invite to your team. Note: Do not invite all of the users from your domain unless you would like to automatically add and license them on your team.
