Library of Circuit Schematic symbols

LucidChart seems the ideal tool for quickly constructing circuit schematics. If there were a library of basic objects for common and general electrical components, then it would enable hobbyists & communities to quickly edit and share simple circuit diagrams, without requiring complex design software with immense libraries of specific physical parts. Ideally, each component would have sticky attach points for the electrical connections to assist in joining components together.

I'm just bumping this one (don't know if that even works, mind you). It's a great idea.

Why should Lucidchart not offer standard engineering libraries? This would greatly extend the capabilities of the software

May I suggest that user created libraries can be made available via some community feature that will allow other to install these if they wish to? It seems easy enough to publish the format in which these shapes must be defined.

If Lucidchart could include P&ID or electrical schematic drawings that would make it useful for me as well. It's a nice sleek interface, but currently it's not very useful for me. Thanks!

That would be a nice feature having several kinds of stencils available

Great news!  We have just released a circuit diagram library with the most common shapes.  You can find the new library by selecting 'More Shapes' when you are in the editor and turning on the Circuit Diagram library.

We hope you enjoy this new shape library (and another new engineering library -- P&ID).  Please let us know if you have feedback or recommended additions by submitting a new feature request.  Enjoy!
